Meet our directors

The directors have personal knowledge and experience of teen challenge since they are former graduates of the program. they understand the struggles and complexities of life-controlling issues and have a passion to help youth find freedom, peace, and new meaning in life.

  • Boy's Center Director

    David Gish

    After completing the program, David gained valuable experience and a deeper understanding of at-risk youth while interning at the boy’s center. He then became a welder, started his own business, and mentored teens while teaching welding. David pursued the calling he felt to serve as director. He is humbled to be in this role and is constantly amazed at the transformation God gives. It is a privilege to witness the incredible growth and healing in boys’ lives.

  • Girl's Center Interim Director

    Jacquie Cook

    Because Jacquie is a graduate of the Teen Challenge program, she is able to use her own personal experience and understanding to relate well with the girls at the center. Jacquie believes the Lord wastes nothing, even mistakes. He will use people who have a broken past. She is passionate about and finds joy in helping teen girls in need. Jacquie currently has a degree in business and is working towards her ministerial certification.

    Vanessa Medonza

    Vanessa is a Teen Challenge graduate. As a child, she struggled with her self-worth. During her time in the Teen Challenge program, Vanessa learned how to love herself and God’s view of her. Because of this, Vanessa places importance on helping the girls at the Ruth’s Haven Teen Girl’s Center learn to love and value themselves. Vanessa is devoted to teaching the girls about Jesus and helping them form healthy relationships with their families.
